The Hospice and Palliative Pastoral Counselor provides spiritual support and counseling for patients and families facing life-limiting illness. They coordinate spiritual care and community resource needs in collaboration with the Hospice and Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Group.
Candidates should have one year of pastoral care experience in a healthcare setting, with hospice or palliative care experience preferred. A Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent theological education is required, along with relevant certifications.

One year pastoral care experience in health care setting preferred. Hospice or palliative care experience preferred
Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent theologian education. Master of Divinity, Master of Theology, Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling, or related degree preferred.
Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance. Current CPR certification.
Palliative Care Chaplaincy Certificate preferred. Board Certified Chaplain by one of the following preferred: o Association for Professional Chaplains (APC) o National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) o National Association of Jewish Chaplains (NAJC)
