About the Role

• As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Cath Lab Department at UAB Medical West, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care.
• Your primary responsibility will be to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring that all patients receive the best possible treatment and support.
• You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote health and wellness, while also addressing any medical concerns that arise in the workplace.
• Additionally, you will be responsible for educating patients and their families about health management and preventive care.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alabama.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent nursing degree.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must obtain within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for effectiveness and side effects.
• Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
