The Medical Assistant provides patient care by obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and administering vaccines. They are also responsible for scheduling referrals, managing follow-up tracking, and maintaining accurate electronic health records.
A high school diploma is required for complex lab work, along with one year of computer data entry experience. BCLS certification and mandatory reporter training are required within specific timeframes after hire.
Education: High School diploma required if work is performed in a complex CLIA lab.
