The palliative care physician is responsible for the medical care and treatment plans of seriously ill patients. They provide guidance to the palliative team and educate other healthcare providers on the benefits of palliative care.
The candidate must be an expert in their field capable of collaborating with attending physicians and interdisciplinary teams. They must adhere to palliative care standards, policies, and procedures.
