Requires a Bachelor's degree in psychology or social work and at least one year of experience in the mental health field. Candidates must be available for some weekends and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Seeking an energetic, team-oriented counselor for meaningful work with people admitted to our inpatient state-designated receiving facility. We provide short-term crisis stabilization and brief 1:1 & group counseling in a milieu setting. Some weekends are required. We welcome students who are working towards their master’s degree and would like to become involved in a respected organization with flexibility and many paths for advancement. Key Responsibilities: Previous experience working in locked inpatient units is a plus. Looking for someone with excellent time management skills, who is able to respond quickly and effectively to crisis situations. We are seeking someone who has a passion for mental health and enjoys challenges. Knowledge of evidence-based practices such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Illness Management and Recovery is helpful. Must be attentive to detail, and able to solve problems in an environment of positive teamwork and professionalism. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have organizational, written, and verbal skills. Basic computer experience required. Successful candidates will be organized self-starters who enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Must be available to work some weekends each month and have occasional flexibility with shifts.
At least one full year working in the mental health field. Preference is given to previous experience working in crisis units/environments.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology or social work required
