Assists physicians with invasive advanced cardiac procedures and manages Cath/EP Lab equipment. Provides direct and indirect cardiovascular care, including patient sedation and guidance to other technicians.
Requires a Georgia RN license and RCIS or RCES certification with at least 4 years of Cath Lab Tech experience. Must be proficient in BCLS, ACLS, scrubbing, sedating, and monitoring.
Assists the physician in the performance of invasive advanced cardiac procedures, has thorough knowledge of all Cath/EP Lab Equipment and maintenance of it and administers direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Able to provide direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures and provide sedation for patients. Additionally, will serve as subject matter expert in challenging and difficult cases by providing guidance to fellow Cath lab/EP lab techs in the proper operation of equipment and procedures used in the Catheterization Laboratory.Must be able to perform a combination of higher-level work such as Cath, EP, and/or Vascular.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered CardiovascularElectrophysiology Specialist (RCES) MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:4 years of Cath Lab Tech Experience MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:Current Georgia RN license, RCIS or RCES ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:BCLS and ACLSProficient in scrubbing, sedating, circulating, and monitoring.
