Perform preliminary patient work-ups and assist physicians during eye examinations. Document patient encounters in electronic medical records and manage patient communication regarding follow-up care and scheduling.
Requires a high school diploma and certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Scribe, or the willingness to obtain OSC certification within 30 days. Preferred candidates have six months of outpatient medical office experience and basic computer proficiency.
