Perform preliminary patient work-ups using ophthalmic techniques and assist physicians during examinations. Document patient encounters in electronic medical records and manage patient communication regarding follow-up care and scheduling.
Requires a high school diploma and certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Scribe, or the willingness to obtain OSC within 30 days. Preferred candidates have six months of outpatient medical office experience and basic computer proficiency.
