Perform preliminary patient work-ups using ophthalmic techniques and assist physicians during examinations. Document patient encounters in electronic medical records and communicate follow-up care and scheduling to patients.
Requires a high school diploma and certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Scribe, or the willingness to obtain certification within 30 days. Preferred candidates have six months of outpatient medical office experience and basic computer proficiency.
