The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support within a general surgery clinic, including patient intake and vital signs. They are responsible for maintaining electronic medical records, sterilizing instruments, and managing clinic inventory.
A high school diploma or GED and basic EMR/Microsoft Office knowledge are required, with BLS certification mandatory upon hire. Preference is given to candidates with an associate degree, national MA certification, or two years of experience.
