The role involves obtaining and filing patient records and medical reports to ensure physician readiness prior to treatments. It also requires coordinating with labs for results and communicating with care teams to schedule patient appointments.
A high school diploma is required, with a preference for at least 3 years of office experience, specifically within a medical records department. Candidates must be willing to travel to various office locations as needed.
Virginia Oncology Associates, the largest group of medical professionals in Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina devoted exclusively to cancer care and blood disorders, has multiple opportunities available for a Medical Chart Preparation Tech to support our Southside Region. Training will require travel to our office in Norfolk.
