The RN provides professional nursing care by utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge patients. They partner with patients and families to develop care plans and document education in health records.
An Associate's degree in Nursing is required, and a Bachelor's degree must be obtained within five years for RNs with less than one year of experience. Graduates from non-accredited nursing schools must have acute care experience or experience in a licensed healthcare role and must have passed the NCLEX exam.
