The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing diagnostic assessments, counseling, and supportive services for a diverse population in a fast-paced Mental Health Rehabilitative Core Service Agency.

Essential

Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct clinical assessments and create person-centered treatment plans
Provide evidence-based psychotherapy for clients who present with various concerns such as substance abuse, depression, anxiety, trauma and adjustment disorders
Continually assess client situations and provide the proper ongoing treatments · Prepare discharge summaries
All other clinical tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Must show the ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to communicate with clients and to remain calm under stress.
Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Positive interpersonal skills required.
Bi-Lingual in Spanish and English is a plus but is not required.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree (required) in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
Master’s degree(preferred) in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
Licensed in the state of DC (LICSW, LGSW, LPC, LGPC, RN) (required)
Must be familiar or willing to be trained on EMR systems
Two years minimum of direct-care clinical services with individuals with mental health diagnoses
