The Hospice Social Worker assesses the psychosocial status of patients and families, providing counseling and crisis intervention as needed. They also maintain clinical records, educate families on advanced directives, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient care.
Candidates must have a master's degree in social work and at least two years of supervised experience in healthcare, preferably in hospice. Understanding of hospice philosophy and issues related to death and dying is essential.
