Job description
Corewell Health is offering up to a $3,000 sign-on bonus to external hires and internal new grads currently in a student role.
FULL TIME-NIGHTS Scope Of Work A Polysomnographic Technologist works under the general supervision of the Medical Director and designee (department director/manager/supervisor) to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders.
This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education.
A Polysomnographic Technologist can perform the duties defined for a Polysomnographic Technician and may provide supervision of other staff.
Qualifications.
Formal training in polysomnography program and/or enrolled in a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) program with the polysomnography option OR enrolled in or have completed the A-STEP online Self Study Modules required.
Current American Heart Association BLS Provider certification.
1-3 years-preferred Board Certified examinations with Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technology (BRPT), National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM)- certification or equivalent required Knowledge of EEG interpretation and maturation changes from premature babies to old age is desirable.
