Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, evidence-based care to adult PCU patients under physician orders
• Conduct ongoing assessments, develop and adjust care plans, and document patient responses
• Administer medications and therapies, monitor IVs, drains, and devices, and manage tubing as ordered
• Monitor telemetry, vital signs, labs, and chart changes; respond to clinical alarms and emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians, case management, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and post-discharge care; ensure patient safety and infection control practices

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a PCU or closely related inpatient specialty
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Certification required
• No local candidates within 50 miles
• Ability to work 7pm–7am nights with a varying schedule as needed
• Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and meet applicable onboarding and credentialing requirements
