Provide primary respiratory care to pediatric burn and orthopaedic patients from admission through discharge. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team during daily patient rounds and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Requires an Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy and a valid state RT license. Preference is given to candidates with RRT certification and two years of experience in both ICU and pediatric settings.
This night shift position will work 12-hour shift with rotating weekends and holidays.
Provides primary respiratory care to patients from admission through their discharge under a physician's order Communicates verbal and/or written patient and departmental information/special needs to pertinent persons in a timely and appropriate manner (i.e. rounds) Documents accurate, specific, complete patient care data according to policy and procedure guidelines Assures safe, cost effective operation and function of pertinent equipment and utilizes appropriate infection control techniques in all areas This is not an all-inclusive list of this job’s responsibilities. The incumbent may be required to perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
