The Organ Recovery Coordinator manages the surgical and preservation phase of organ donation to maximize viability. This includes assisting surgeons in the operating room, operating perfusion machines, and coordinating the recovery of organs for transplant and research.
Requires an undergraduate degree in health sciences or a related field with at least one year of clinical experience. Candidates must have strong knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology, with a preference for Certified Transplant Preservationists.

Schedule: 10-11, 24-hour shifts/month with weekends and holidays included
Hours: 6am-6am CST

The Organ Recovery Coordinator is responsible for the surgical and preservation portion of the donation process by providing organ preservation services for local and non-local organ recoveries to maximize organ viability. Oversees the organ recovery process in the operating room including, aiding surgeons during recovery, preservation of organs using perfusion machines, recovery of tissues and organs for transplant and research, and documenting and communicating information throughout the donation process. Coordinates the acceptance and recovery of organs for research. Align daily activities with the strategic and operational goals of the organization.
