The Registered Veterinary Technician provides high-quality nursing care, assists in triage, and performs diagnostic imaging and laboratory analysis. They also support veterinarians during surgical procedures and communicate treatment plans to pet owners.
Candidates must be a Registered Veterinary Technician with a strong commitment to animal welfare and professional ethics. Proficiency in low-stress restraint, sample collection, and anesthesia monitoring is required, with 1+ years of experience preferred.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care to our animal patients while supporting our veterinarians and clients. Assist in the triage of incoming patients, assessing their condition and prioritizing care Restrain and handle animals safely during examinations and procedures Collect and analyze laboratory samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-rays and ultrasounds Provide nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability Administer medications as prescribed by veterinarians Communicate treatment plans effectively with pet owners, ensuring they understand care instructions Prepare animals and equipment for surgical procedures Assist in anesthetic management during surgeries Maintain a clean and organized work environment Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure optimal patient care Stay updated on the latest veterinary techniques and best practices Why You Should Join Us: Supportive and collaborative team environment. We’re looking for: A registered veterinary technician, 1+ years experience preferred but not required Consistent punctuality and reliability in adherence to scheduled shifts Excellent client communication and medical record management skills Comprehensive knowledge of veterinary procedures, preventative care, and hospital operations Expertise in safe and low-stress animal restraint techniques Proficiency in various sample collection methods, including blood, urine, fecal, and skin specimens Experience in radiographic positioning and image capture, with additional skills in dental radiography being a plus Experience in anesthesia administration and surgical monitoring Commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to animal-related hazards The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical expertise and unwavering commitment to animal welfare in a dynamic veterinary setting.
