Provide compassionate, family-centered care to pediatric patients through assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized care plans. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to maintain high standards of safety and quality care.
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with a valid RN license in North Dakota or a compact state. BLS certification is required within the orientation period, and new graduates are welcome to apply.
Provide comprehensive nursing care for infants, children, and adolescents with a wide range of medical conditions, utilizing age-appropriate assessment techniques and interventions to meet their specific health needs. Implement and manage individualized care plans, focusing on medication administration, developmental stimulation, pain management, and specialized procedures adapted for pediatric patients. Perform ongoing assessments, monitor vital signs, interpret lab results, and adjust care based on a child's response, swiftly recognizing and responding to changes in pediatric patient condition. Collaborate effectively with pediatricians, child life specialists, social workers, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, child-centered, and family-centered care. Educate parents and guardians thoroughly on their child's medical conditions, treatment plans, medication management, self-care techniques, and discharge instructions, empowering families for a safe and informed transition home. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient assessments, interventions, medications, and responses, while ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements for safe and effective pediatric care. THIS JOB OFFERS BOTH AN INCENTIVE AND RELOCATION: We are offering a $17,500 Sign-On Bonus in addition to relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements. Union Work Agreement: Shift: Day/Night Rotation, 12hrs Holiday/Weekend Rotating: Every other/ Every third weekend On Call Expectation: As assigned Job Requirements Required Qualifications Nursing Degree from an approved school of nursing LICENSURE Active Registered Nurse license in good standing with the North Dakota Board of Nursing or Active Registered Nurse license in a compact state Working knowledge of clinical skills in delivery of patient care for pediatric patients Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within the orientation period and meets re-certification as required Note: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is often required or preferred for pediatric units. Please confirm if this should be added. Good communication skills necessary for constant communication, both oral and written, with patients, families, visitors, and medical center staff Accountable for own conduct and promotes and supports positive working relationships among staff, between other disciplines, departments, families, visitors, and patients Maintains confidentiality Preferred Atleast 1-2 years of relevent pediatric experience preferred
