The Exercise Physiologist conducts comprehensive cardiac exercise testing, accurately documents results in Epic, and maintains a fully prepared clinical environment by managing equipment and supplies. Responsibilities also include supervising stress testing, recognizing contraindications, performing additional physiologic assessments, and providing inpatient/outpatient cardiac rehabilitation services.
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in exercise physiology, kinesiology, nursing, or a similar field, along with completion of a three to six-month internship or equivalent work experience with cardiopulmonary patients. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required, and ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification is needed upon hire or within one year.
