Rehabilitation Technician - Lockport - Physical/Occupational Therapy Position Highlights: Part-Time, 20 hours/week Hours: will vary, clinic open Monday-Thursday 7:00am-6:30/7:00pm; Fridays: 8:00am-2:30pm Thursdays needed from 8:30am-6:30pm or 10:00am-7:00pm Location: Lockport Travel: Expected to travel other sites for coverage needs

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Director, the Rehabilitation Technician will be responsible for: Patient care, support, and guidance Execute plans of care under guidance of PT/OT providers.
• Proper set up and adjustment of exercise equipment.
• Assist with set up and delivery of modalities (e.g., electrical stimulation, ultrasound, hot/cold packs, etc.) Utilize appropriate educational techniques including demonstration and cueing to ensure patient understanding of exercises.
• Monitor patient safety and response to exercise intensity.
• Discuss patient performance with PT/OT provider.
• Clinic flow Monitor patient arrivals to department.
• Start patients on time for scheduled appointments/keep patients apprised of any clinician delays.
• Maintain cleanliness of clinic, including waiting areas, exam rooms, and all equipment.
• Order all supplies to keep clinic stocked, under direction from Manager.
• Front end tasks Perform necessary front-end tasks including but not limited to check-in, co-pay/financial responsibility collection, answering phones, and scheduling future appointments.
• Communicate via chat with PT/OT and Chiropractic referral team regarding patient insurance benefits.
• Schedule management for clinicians (i.e., patient confirmation calls, rescheduling patients as needed).

Qualifications

• CPR certification required (certification offered through Duly Health and Care) High School Diploma Knowledge of common medical terminology and abbreviations.
