The Physical Therapist Assistant provides therapy services and delivers treatment programs under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include monitoring patient progress, educating patients on mobility, and documenting treatment responses.
Candidates must possess an Associate's Degree from an accredited PTA program and a current state PTA license. Clinical experience in rehabilitation or long-term care settings is preferred.
Carry out PT treatment plans for individuals and groups. Provide therapeutic exercises and activities as directed. Educate patients on mobility and assistive devices. Document treatment and patient response. Report changes to supervising PT. Qualifications Associate’s Degree from accredited PTA program. Current state PTA license. Clinical experience preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- KSAs Knowledge of therapy techniques and equipment. Ability to follow treatment directions. Strong interpersonal skills. Physical & Environmental Requirements Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients safely. Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching. Work in long-term care and healthcare environments.
