The Medical Assistant provides patient-centered care including preparing patients for exams, administering medications, and performing lab procedures. They are also responsible for sterilizing instruments, maintaining patient records, and supporting quality improvement activities.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, a Medical Assistant program certificate, and BLS/CPR certification. National certification (CMA, CCMA, or RMA) is required or must be obtained within 180 days of hire.

The medical assistant participates in the delivery of excellent medical services in a patient centered environment with an emphasis on the prevention of disease; preparation of the patient for examination and/Or procedures; administers medications under direction of provider; performs in office lab procedures and phlebotomy on pediatric and adult patients; sterilizes instruments and ensure compliance with osha regulations. This will include actively participating in and supporting quality improvement activities and the clinical practice teams with these efforts.
