The clinician assists orthodontists in placing and removing appliances and performing laboratory procedures. They are also responsible for patient education, chart maintenance, and maintaining sterile operatory environments.
A high school diploma is required, and some dental or orthodontic industry experience is preferred. State-required certifications in dental assisting, radiography, and CPR may be necessary.
