The Cytotechnologist examines cell samples to detect abnormalities and submits slides with abnormal structures to pathologists. They also prepare and analyze samples to detect abnormal conditions while maintaining effective laboratory operations.
Candidates must have knowledge of biology and medicine, along with the ability to detect color differences. They should also possess skills in laboratory equipment operation and be detail-oriented.
Description The Cytotechnologist will stain, mount, and study cells to detect evidence of cancer, hormonal abnormalities, and other pathological conditions following established standards and practices.
Knowledge of principles of biology and medicine. Must possess finger dexterity and arm/hand steadiness.
