Provide essential support to the overnight emergency veterinary team in a specialist hospital setting. Assist with patient care and clinical tasks to ensure high-quality medical treatment for pets.
The candidate must be an experienced Veterinary Assistant capable of working overnight shifts. Ability to handle emergency situations and work within a fast-paced ER environment is required.
JOIN OUR TEAM VCA Northwest Veterinary Specialists is a fast growing, 24/7 Specialty and Emergency/Critical Care hospital seeking full-time ER/ICU Technician Assistant.
The Technician Assistant plays a key role in the hospital's success by helping the Doctors and Technicians in patient care and client communication. While this position does have clinical duties, you will also work hand-in-hand with veterinarians, CVTs, management and all support staff to provide excellent customer services. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Triage of emergency cases · Collecting laboratory samples such as: blood, urine and feces · Processing laboratory samples in-house · Preparing laboratory samples for outside labs · Helping clients through the euthanasia process · Answering multi-line telephones · Managing medical records, reports and correspondence. · Additional duties may be required based on the needs of the business.
