The LPN assesses patient needs and implements individualized plans of care under the supervision of RNs and the Director of Nursing. They are responsible for maintaining continuity of care across shifts and collaborating with other hospital departments.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, be a graduate of an accredited practical nursing program, and hold a current LPN or LVN license in Texas. One year of experience in behavioral healthcare or acute care is preferred.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions under general supervision and direction of the Registered Nurses and Director of Nursing to: Assess the needs of patients and initiates, implements and evaluates individualized plans of care. Relates effectively with other shifts for continuity of care. Maintain satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units. Participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and skills of personnel. We are looking for exceptional talent who demonstrates exceptional compassion. Must be passionate about quality patient care and serving an under served population.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
