Provides compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals in a behavioral healthcare setting under the supervision of nursing staff. Key duties include monitoring vital signs, assisting with daily activities, and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED and a current, active CNA license. Prior experience in behavioral health and at least 2 years of direct care experience are strongly preferred.
Provides compassionate, patient-centered care in a behavioral healthcare setting, assisting patients with daily activities according to their individualized care plan and under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN). Key responsibilities include monitoring and recording vital signs, assisting with hygiene and mobility, providing therapeutic support, and ensuring a safe, orderly environment. Supports admissions, discharges, and patient transport, maintains accurate documentation, and collaborates with the care team to enhance patient outcomes. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage patient interactions in a calm and professional manner are essential.
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree or some college coursework in psychology, social work, or social services field preferred. LICENSE: Current, active CNA license. EXPERIENCE: Prior experience in a behavioral health setting preferred. At least 2 years of experience in a direct care role strongly preferred.
