The therapist is responsible for providing individual and group counseling and developing comprehensive treatment plans for patients. They also coordinate care conferences with families and providers and facilitate the complex discharge process.
A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related human services field is required. Preference is given to candidates with a provisional license (LCSW, LPC, or LMHC) and at least 2 years of clinical experience in acute psychiatric settings.
Accountable for overall treatment planning efforts, care conferences with families and providers, family and provider care updates, psychosocial needs and completion. Coordinate and facilitate the development of a discharge plan of care for the patient population which includes accountability for the complex discharge process. Ensure the experience of care for the patient and family is exceptional.
Education: Master's in Social Work (MSW), Counseling, Psychology, or related human services field is required LCSW, LPC, or LMHC provisionally license is preferred Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare or acute psychiatric setting preferred. Previous experience in an acute in-patient behavioral health hospital a plus Experience developing and administering treatment plans Individual and group counseling techniques Exceptional communication skills
