Candidates must have experience working with mental health or substance use populations and a valid driver's license. Ability to pass a Level II Background Screening and maintain professionalism in high-stress situations is required.

Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team at our Residential Treatment Center in Hollywood, FL. Our residential level of care provides 24/7 structured, live-in treatment for adults experiencing mental health and substance use disorders. Patients receive intensive clinical support in a safe, therapeutic environment designed to promote stability, recovery, and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities Provide direct care, supervision, and support to patients in a residential setting Monitor and document patient behaviors and progress Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans Utilize de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention when necessary Build positive, therapeutic relationships with patients and team members Maintain a safe and structured environment for all patients Act as a liaison between patients and the clinical team Participate actively as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team Model appropriate professional behavior and maintain healthy boundaries Support a positive peer culture through reinforcement and engagement
Experience working with the mental health and/or substance use population required Must have a valid and clear driver’s license Must be able to pass a Level II Background Screening Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations
