This position requires you to work on site at one of our facilities located throughout Broward County.
This is an in-office position.

This position will provide direct patient care services in the dental program for FDOH-Broward under the supervision of a dentist. This is a part-time position working 20-24 hours per week.
Under the supervision of the Dental Administrator and the dentist, remove calculus deposits, accretions and stains from exposed surfaces of teeth and from the tooth surfaces within the gingival sulcus, perform gingival curettage and root planning, pre-assess and chart suspected findings in the oral cavity, place expose, process and mount dental and carpal radiograph films, apply sealants and topical fluoride, polish crowns and amalgam restorations, record procedures performed in the patient record, instruct patients in oral hygiene care and perform remediable tasks as delegated in the Dental Practice Act, all in accordance with all relevant Federal, State and professional standards.
Prepare trays with the proper instruments for specified procedures; clean and sterilize instruments; and maintain equipment and operators in a clean and orderly state. Coordinates and performs basic equipment maintenance. Participate in internal committees and attend required CHD meetings.
Actively participate in the creation of an environment of positive teamwork with priority given to patient care responsibilities. Accurately completes Employee Activity Reports daily to be submitted on a weekly basis. Checks and responds to emails daily.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
