Nurse LPN - Home Health | FT Days

Overview

Under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, performs patient care duties. The LPN provides care based on the Nurse Practice Act and his/her assessed competency utilizing hospital established standards of care and practice. Assignments are performed appropriately to age and developmental level of patients being served.

Qualifications

Age of Patients Served

• All Age Groups.
• Required
• Education: Vocational Training. Graduation from an approved Licensed Practical Nurse program. 30-hour IV Therapy Course for LPNs, which has been approved by the Florida Board of Nursing pursuant to Rule 64B9-5.006.
• Necessary
• Skills: 1. Adheres to hospital policies and Florida Nurse Practice Act guidelines in providing patient care. 2. Demonstrates effective problem solving and communication skills with patients, families and other healthcare professionals.
• Required
• Licensure/Certifications: Licensed to practice practical nursing in the state of Florida Current BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Required
• Experience: Less than one (1) year - Training as an LPN.
• Preferred
• Experience: One (1) year as a LPN with current BLS certification.
