The Surgical Assistant supports oral surgeons during procedures by preparing instruments and monitoring patient vital signs. They are also responsible for maintaining a clean clinical environment and ensuring accurate documentation of patient encounters.
A high school diploma and Basic Life Support certification are required, while previous dental or oral surgery experience is preferred. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent required (some college, preferred) Basic life support certification required. Employers will provide training if the candidate is not current.
