High Plains Mental Health Center

Hays, Kansas
Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnose mental health and substance use disorders, and manage psychotropic medications. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized treatment plans and lead suicide prevention and crisis stabilization efforts.
Requires current APRN licensure in Kansas with prescriptive authority and CPR/First Aid certification. A minimum of 1 year of psychiatric experience is required, with PMHNP-BC board certification preferred.

· Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Kansas, with prescriptive authority. · Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Board Certification (preferred), or commitment to acquiring PMHNP-BC. · Minimum 1 year of psychiatric/mental health experience; 3+ years preferred. · CPR and First Aid certified (provided by our Center) · Demonstrated ability to assess/manage psychiatric emergencies. · Strong foundation in psychopharmacology, crisis stabilization, and trauma-informed care. · Completion of required health screenings (TB testing, mental & medical clearance). · Successful background checks (KBI and KDADS).
