Supports registered pharmacists in the medication use process to ensure patient safety. Responsible for the preparation and distribution of medications in an advanced technician capacity.
Requires active registration as a pharmacy technician or intern in Florida and one year of experience in a comparable role. Must be able to obtain a level 2 AHCA clearance.
The Pharmacy Technician II works under the direct supervision of registered pharmacists in accordance with Florida law, rules, and regulations. Responsible for assisting and supporting pharmacists in various aspects of the medication use process in a patient focused manner that supports and promotes medication safety, as well as responsibility for supporting the preparation and distribution of medications. The Pharmacy Technician II works in more advanced technician roles than the Pharmacy Technician I.
• Prefer Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification.
