Assists investigators in the implementation and coordination of clinical research activities, including administrative support and regulatory document maintenance. Responsible for scheduling study visits, collecting data and specimens, and managing study supplies.
A high school diploma is required, while a bachelor's degree and research experience are preferred. Candidates should have knowledge of FDA, HSR, and GCP guidelines and preferably be bilingual in English and Spanish.
Assists investigators and study team in the implementation, coordination, and conduct of clinical research activities. Adheres to the service values and principles as well as the principles of research ethics. Essential Job Functions: Performs administrative tasks to support investigators and research team (Xeroxing, filing, etc.). Assist with study start-up and maintain regulatory documents required by sponsors and regulatory agencies. Assists in scheduling study visits according to protocol, in coordination with the PI and study team, and research support services (pharmacy, lab, medical imaging, etc.). Notifies research support services in preparation and advance of study visits. Provides assistance in the conduct of site visits/audits by the sponsor or regulatory agencies. Prepares necessary supplies for study visits (consent forms, data collection materials, lab kits, etc.) Assists in the collection of data and/or specimens from research participants and/or medical records, as authorized. Supports data entry and maintains/updates databases as needed. Ensures participants are given a copy of the signed consent documents and manages proper distribution to relevant departments (i.e. medical records). Maintains inventory of supplies and facilitate ordering as required. Escorts participants and/or specimens to ancillary testing or procedures as necessary. Engages in professional development opportunities, such as clinical and research meetings, seminars, and related activities. Other job functions as assigned.
High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree and experience and/or training in research preferred. Rotating shifts (afternoon/evening availability preferred) Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish fluency) Good organizational skills. Good verbal and written communications skills. Some knowledge of FDA, HSR, and GCP Guidelines. Some analytical skills with the ability to remain agile and adaptable to various technological systems.
