• Type: Full TimeBoone Memorial Health is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our growing laboratory team. This position plays an essential role in providing quality patient care by performing venipuncture procedures, collecting laboratory specimens, and supporting the daily operations of the outpatient laboratory. Essential Functions Perform venipuncture and specimen collection for patients of all age groups Verify patient identity and ensure accurate specimen labeling Collect blood and urine specimens according to laboratory policies and procedures Maintain aseptic technique and infection control standards Assist with chain-of-custody drug testing collections Transport specimens safely to the laboratory Answer phones and assist patients and staff professionally Perform clerical duties and maintain organized records Keep work areas clean, stocked, and orderly Work collaboratively with providers, nurses, laboratory staff, and supervisors Participate in continuing education and performance improvement initiatives Skills, Qualifications, and Competencies Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Formal phlebotomy training Valid Phlebotomy Certification CPR Certification Valid driver’s license Point of Care Technician License (or ability to obtain upon hire)

Preferred Qualifications

Previous phlebotomy experience preferred Experience with CLIA Waived Testing preferred Knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures Physical Requirements This position requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching, and coordination of multiple tasks throughout the workday.
