Coordinates nursing care for monitored patients, focusing on cardiac monitoring and hemodynamic stabilization. Ensures quality care in accordance with health department and medical center standards while maintaining patient privacy and safety.
Requires a nursing degree, a valid State of Michigan Nursing License, and BLS certification. Candidates must have 2 years of experience in Critical Care or PACU and obtain ACLS and TNCC certifications within specified timeframes.
The registered nurse is a professional nurse who coordinates the delivery of nursing care for monitored patients during their hospital stay including cardiac monitoring, hemodynamic stabilization, responsive to emergent situations and care of evidence-based medicine patients. The registered nurse ensures that quality nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the Michigan Department of Public Health, the medical center and nursing department standards. Utilizing the nursing process, functions primarily in direct patient care. The registered nurse participates in maintaining a safe patient care environment, maintains patient privacy, dignity, confidentiality and respects patient’s rights. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 1. Performs purposeful hourly rounding including: Pain, Position, Personal needs and Possessions 2. Administers medication to patients as directed 3. Initiates and monitors IV’s and IV medication
