Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Outpatient and Inpatient Cardiology

Work Schedule

• 100%, day shift working Monday –
• Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. This currently does not include weekends, holidays or call shifts but subject to change based on programmatic growth. You will work at the outpatient clinic at E. Terrace Dr. Medical Center or the Arbor Gate Clinic in Madison, WI including a regional clinic (location to be determined) and a regular inpatient rotation at East Madison Hospital.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to

• Provide comprehensive care to both well and ill adult patients.
• Perform clinic visits for new and returning cardiovascular patients.
• Provide cardiology consults in the inpatient setting in collaboration with the cardiologist.
• Provide timely communication to patients and staff for the management of patient needs.

Education

• If
• Nurse
• Practitioner: Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.
• If
• Physician
• Assistant: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications: Minimum – State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure

If Nurse Practitioner*

• Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
• Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice.
• These may include the following: Adult, Adult/Gerontology Acute Care, Adult/Gerontology Primary Care, or Family.

If Physician Assistant*

• Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
• Active PA board certification

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have

• Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
• Active license or eligibility to obtain active licensure in state of practice. This may include licensing in Wisconsin and other state(s) of practice.
