The Monitor Technician observes and assesses the cardiac rhythms of patients in an assigned unit. They are responsible for reporting these rhythms to the medical and nursing staff to ensure patient safety.
Candidates should be high school graduates and preferably have experience as a medical or monitor technician. A minimum score of 90% on the Basic Dysrhythmia test is required for the Central Monitoring Unit.

The Monitor Technician observes the cardiac rhythm of patients in the assigned unit, assesses patients' status and reports the patient's cardiac rhythm to medical/nursing staff. This position requires population specific competencies.
