Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP)
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a member of the clinical team that provides compassionate support and assistance to persons with intellectual, developmental, and behavioral health challenges and require assistance to achieve their fullest potential. The DSP provides the assistance necessary to allow the people we serve to live independently and ensure their wellness, health, and safety. The DSP, in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, provides a wide range of services to meet the environmental, physical, psychosocial, and personal needs of the persons in our care. The DSP is responsible for supporting and implementing the individuals' vision and outcomes per the Person-Centered Support Plan. The DSP will ensure agency compliance with policy and procedures to ensure that the persons supported are safe, appropriately supervised and have the support they need to live independently. The DSP embraces the mission of organization by fostering a culture of compassion, hope, service, and collaboration.
• High School Diploma or GED or at least one year of direct care experience
Must be at least 18 years old. Must possess a valid driver's license from TN, AR, or MS that's not suspended and has not been suspended within the past three (3) years. Candidate must have had their valid driver's license for at least three (3) years. Candidates must also pass all required pre-employment screenings, including criminal background checks and drug tests.
