The Endoscopy Technician prepares and provides necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment for invasive procedures. They maintain the procedural field and respond to the needs of the Endoscopy team.
Candidates must be high school graduates or equivalent with previous experience in an endoscopy suite or operating room. Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association is required.
The Endoscopy Technician facilitates the operative or other invasive procedure by preparing and providing the required instruments, supplies and equipment. Maintains the procedural field and anticipates and responds to the needs of the Endoscopy team.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School graduate or equivalent; relevant experience in lieu of High School Diploma/GED education will be considered. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in the endoscopy suite/operating room. One year of experience preferred. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Certified through the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of infection control principles and excellent communication skills.
