The COTA treats patients using various modalities and provides education to patients and their families. They are also responsible for maintaining all necessary medical documentation to ensure continuity of treatment.
Candidates must possess strong fine motor skills and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting and bending. Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills are essential for interacting with staff and providers.
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (Outpatient\Inpatient) works under the supervision of leadership and treats patients in a variety of modalities, educate the family/patient, and assures continuity of treatment. Responsible for all necessary documentation as required by accepted medical guidelines.
