The LPN is responsible for following physician orders, performing detailed patient assessments, and administering medications and treatments. They must accurately document patient conditions and provide emotional support to geriatric residents.
Candidates must hold a current state LPN license and pass a criminal background check. One year of experience in a community-based care setting is preferred, though qualified LPN students may be considered.
Follow Physician orders and provide detailed assessment data for quality resident care Record a patient’s medical history accurately Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc. Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc. Document any change in patients’ condition, notify Physician, supervisor and document Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks Collect samples for lab testing as assigned Provide emotional and psychological support when needed Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions AND…… Nurses get to utilize many different clinical skills because we service geriatric patients who have needs of wound care, infection control management, IV’s, wound vacs, gastrostomy tubes, medication management, and more! QualificationsRequirements: Have a current state LPN License. 1-year experience as an LPN, in a community-based care setting (preferred). Follow State regulations as well as company policies and guidelines. Must pass criminal background check. LPN students who meet certain criteria may be considered for this position!
