The Triage Specialist manages emergency phone and face-to-face contacts to determine the appropriate level of care and provide crisis intervention. They handle admission procedures, complete required documentation, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to communicate behavioral interventions.
A high school diploma is required, while a bachelor's degree in any field is preferred. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and the physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds.
Triages all emergency or unscheduled phone and face-to-face contacts during assigned shifts to determine the level of care warranted, and to provide crisis intervention services as needed under immediate supervision. Performs admission screening and procedures including the completion of all designated paperwork. Presents client information to the interdisciplinary treatment team and communicates behavioral interventions to Mental Health Technicians.
