Perform comprehensive patient workups and diagnostic testing including OCTs and visual fields. Document medical and ocular histories in electronic records and provide patient education based on physician instructions.
Medical office experience is required, with ophthalmic testing experience preferred. Candidates must demonstrate critical thinking skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Document patient’s medical and ocular histories in electronic medical record. Perform patient workups. Complete diagnostic testing, such as retinoscopy, manual refraction, applanation A-scan, keratometry, tonometry, OCT’s and visual fields. Provide patient education according to physician instructions. Perform other duties as assigned. Travel to other offices as needed. Knowledge and Qualifications: Medical office experience required. Ophthalmic testing experience preferred. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Experience providing excellent patient care. Demonstrated critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and communicate concerns regarding the results of diagnostic testing.
