About the Role
- As a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) at CarDon and Associates, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective administration of medications to our residents.
- Your primary responsibility will be to assist in the management of medication schedules, ensuring that each resident receives their prescribed medications in a timely manner.
- You will also be responsible for monitoring residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications, providing essential feedback to nursing staff.
- This position requires a compassionate approach, as you will be interacting with residents daily, fostering a supportive and caring environment.
- Ultimately, your work will contribute significantly to the overall health and well-being of our residents, enhancing their quality of life.
- Job Responsibilities
- Administer medications to residents as per physician's orders and facility policies.
- Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report findings to nursing staff.
- Maintain accurate medication administration records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents.
- Provide education and support to residents and their families regarding medication management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current certification as a Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) in the state of Indiana.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in long-term care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of pharmacology and medication management.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
