Responsibilities

Perform vital signs on residents at beginning of each shift and as directed Assist residents in preparation for health examinations Record and document residents’ medical record Set up and administer medication and immunizations in accordance with physician’s orders and state/federal regulations Display knowledge of side effects, interactions, and nursing implications of common medications Read and interpret residents’ medical records and physician orders Maintain inventory of all medications and report any discrepancies immediately Create a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents and ensure that their needs are met Attend and participate in scheduled training, educational, and orientation programs to maintain certification and enhance quality of care Maintain and work within FutureCare’s established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement and safety programs, and environmental and infection control standards

Qualifications
