Provide therapeutic and prevention services to clients and families, including case management, crisis intervention, and clinical guidance for TBS treatment. Manage a client caseload, conduct assessments, and collaborate with external professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Requires a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or MFT and a valid professional license (LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist). Must possess a valid CA driver's license, automobile insurance, and obtain CPR/First Aid/ProACT certification.
Provide therapeutic and prevention services to clients and families; includes case management, education, de- stigmatization of mental health issues, and crisis intervention. Demonstrate high legal and ethical standards and operate from a culturally competent and strengths based approach. The TBS Clinician will fulfill productivity requirements, comply with all documentation standards, and participate in an on-call rotation. The TBS Clinician clinically guides TBS treatment to clients and monitors necessity and efficacy of services. The TBS Clinician assists TBS Program Supervisor as needed.
Manage and maintain client caseload according to timelines and program guidelines. Meet productivity standards. Attend Child and Family Team Meetings when applicable. Appropriately manage crisis situations. Accurate, thorough, complete, legible and time specific documentation on a daily basis, i.e., within 24 hours and within the Medi-Cal standards. Maintain licensure status with BBS. Promptness in contacting new clients, prioritizing schedules of clients based on client and agency need as well as the timely closing of cases. Participate in outcomes measurement tools administration and collection. Complete accurate and professional assessment and diagnosis of mental disorders. Constant professional communication and collaboration with other staff. Attends all required meetings as a professional representative of SCCS and client when appropriate. Participates in on-call rotation and follows procedures regarding on-call. Manage SB785 caseload and follow SCCS Policy and Procedure for SB785 Out of County Referrals when applicable. Conducts and completes TBS Assessment and Treatment Plan with client, caregivers, and additional supports (when applicable) in the family’s home and/or community. Coordinates and consults with external treatment staff, and other professionals in the community, to ensure collaborative treatment and continuity of care. Monitors client progress, facilitates Treatment Team Meetings, and adapts services to maximize efficacy of services provided and meet client needs. Provides supervision and treatment guidance to TBS coaches. Ability to provide services between hours of 7AM and 7PM. Assists program supervisor as needed. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES Assessment, Diagnosis & Goal Planning Meeting expectations in the Assessment, Diagnosis, & Goal Planning competency involves proficiency in conducting comprehensive assessments, as applicable, to identify mental health concerns, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, behavioral disorders, etc. utilizing standardized assessment tools where appropriate. Ability to develop individualized treatment goals tailored to the unique needs of each client. Clinical Intervention Meeting expectations in the Clinical Intervention competency involves the ability to effectively apply therapeutic techniques and interventions to address the mental health needs of clients. This includes utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to the individual client's presenting concerns, strengths, and preferences. Crisis Intervention and Safety Planning Meeting expectations in Crisis and Safety Planning encompasses responding effectively to crisis situations, including suicidal ideation, self-harm, and acute psychiatric symptoms within designated timeframes, by implementing safety protocols and accessing appropriate resources. Develop comprehensive safety plans in collaboration with clients and their support systems to manage crisis situations and prevent harm. Productivity & Service Billing Meeting expectations in Productivity and Service Billing skills focus on the ability to hit program productivity expectations on a monthly basis.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: Education/Experience Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology. Bilingual Spanish strongly preferred. Licensure, Registration, Certification Licensed clinical professional required: Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D.), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Valid CA driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance. Completion of CPR/First Aid/ProACT certification within the first thirty (30) days of employment. Clinician Tier III: Licensed $85,280 - $87,960 Clinician Tier IV : 2 + years post License $90,640 - $93,320
Ability to drive a motor vehicle without restrictions, often in heavy traffic and frequently long distances (one hour or more) to ensure safe transport to client settings and to safely transport clients to appointments as needed. Senses of vision, hearing and smell sufficient to regularly operate a motor vehicle, to visualize threats in the environment or risks to clients, and to operate safely in the field. Required to occasionally lift and carry 10-20 pounds. Regularly required to sit, stand, climb stairs (1 or more flights) and walk while in route to and during family visits. Regularly required to sit and use computer in office settings.
